Time to get serious.

Well, I only have two posts but there will definitely be more to come. I figure I like writing and I am always stumbling upon interesting things, so why not share them. I don't have a lot to say right now so I am going to cut this one short but I will post anything exciting on Facebook. Thanks

I stumbled upon an article about the zine in SLUG and instantly fell in love. It is extremely creative and I am excited that he is choosing to publish by himself. I bought the first issue off Etsy and he sent me a hand written note along with a promise of a free second issue. Sure enough within the week the second issue was complete and immediately delivered to my house. Even if you do not understand his work or think its grotesque and immature, the least you can do is check it out. Maybe even drop him $1.50 and get an issue for yourself. If you don't like it, give it away or throw it in the trash. Supporting our local and independent artists is important. I linked to his blog so check it out, and also check out the blogs and zines that are on his page while you are there.

GO DOLFINS!

Apparently the employees at Mrs. Fields cookie shop need a little more education. It's hard to make out, but yes, it says "Go Dolfins". I decided this would be a good first post, something out of the ordinary to grab your attention. I personally thought it was very funny, however I tried not to make it obvious, because I did not want the person who made the mistake to feel bad. But, it is one of those things that as soon as you see, you have to share it with everyone.
So I am.
We had a funny situation like this at my old place of employment. We had a board that said what we needed to go Pick-Up from law firms and what we needed to Deliver, and often the attorneys or lawyers would walk right in and drop off projects. Well, one fine summer afternoon when there was not much to do I decided to clean up around the office and I notice that our board says PICK-UPS and DELVIERES. . .now just imagine, you are a lawyer, you are looking snazzy, high class. You walk in to drop off some copy work and you notice the people you are working for could very well be dumb. Needless to say the person who made up the sign in the first place felt pretty rediculous and proceeded to fix it immediately.
It might have been one of those things you had to be there for but overall I thought it was a funny experience.
